The SCAR Guide

Step 1 [ Installing ] If you dont have SCAR 1.13 Download It.

Open the SCAR installion folder and install SCAR.

< Click the SCAR Setup and install the program.

Hit the 'I Agree' button.

Then install SCAR.

After the installation you should see this! and you have completed the first step to autoing on RuneScape!

When you open SCAR for the first time you see a getting started Window like this > Click the checkbox like on the picture and hit next untill you get the main Script Screen.

Step 2 [ Basic Button Functions on SCAR ]

First Scar Looks like this on first run.

The Specify Button > Looks like this

How To Use It > When you click it you have to click and drag it on to the RuneScape main screen window.

The Color Picker! > Looks like this

How To Use It > This is the most important tool! this tool selects the colors on the RuneScape game client window! You need to select the colors in most scripts for them to work! And if you happend to reload Runescape You will need to select the colors again becuase RuneScape changes the colors all the time to try and stop autoers. all you really need to do is download the runescape client and open it on 1 server and leave that window open all the time.

Step 3 [ OMG SCAR WONT CLICK DAMIT! ]

Well this is one of the reasons that people get mad and dont use SCAR. with every problem comes a solution!

There are some problems that you could be doing wrong and i have the ways to fix them!

1a. Most Common - You didnt select the runescape window.

2b. 2nd Most Common - You didnt pick the colors correctly.

Add In - 3rd Most Common - You didnt turn silent mouse off!

Silent mouse for some reason just doesnt let your mouse click for RS2 scripts, I think its detectable by RuneScape2 so always make sure that silent mode is off! In other cases [ Your using RS1 its ok ]

3c. You dont have Microsoft VM Activated.

3d. Windows Text is smooth.

A. To fix this just select the RuneScape Client window the; the window that you play runescape on.

B. You have to pick the colors perfect then get the code for the color and paste it where the script says to paste it.

C. This is very complicated and i got pictures to help you! if your like many RuneScapers you most likely have SUN JAVA and that isnt needed to play runescape and it doesnt work with SCAR so what we have to do is turn that off and turn on Mircrosoft VM on!

[ Heres how to do that! ]

1. Open Internet Explorer

2. Open the 'tools' menu and click 'Internet Options' and

3. Hit the 'Advanced' tab

4. Scroll down and when you see SUN JAVA uncheck it and the move alittle more down and you should see the microsoft VM here is what your should look like with SUN JAVA unchecked so in other words just uncheck SUN JAVA and check all the boxes under Microsoft VM.

D. Yes after all that there still could be something wrong with your computer that is making scar not work! smooth text on your screen will make SCAR not click either!

[ Here is how to turn it off! ]

1. go to properties

2. go to the settings tab

3. This really isnt a problem but will cause most scripts to not work more liek knocking 2 bird out with 1 stone. most scripts need to be 32 bit color to work.

4. Go to Appearance

5. Go to effects.

6. After clicking the effects button you should see something like this make sure its unchecked!

That is the end to all the fixes to make SCAR work. now we should know alittle bit about how to fix our computer to make SCAR run and the 2 basic buttons!

Step 5 [ Autoing ]

Yes finally. thats what is on everyones mind! we are about to go inside the world of cheating; autoing runescape. at this point in time we have limited SCRIPTS for RS2 but there are alot of scripts for RS1.

First open SCAR

when it opens you should see this screen.

If you have scripts you should open them in SCAR after saving them as a text file and placing them in the scripts folder! its very fast and convient to save scripts that you dont have and just pasted into SCAR so you can just open them later!

If you have a script and its saved do this. if not then just paste the script from the internet and save it.

Choose open from the file menu.

I already have a script and im opening it from the open screen

once its open you should see all this code. this code does the autoing! so do mess with it. the script should give you instuctions on where to stand what colors to get from the screen and sometimes for you to enter username and password - this is very common since sometimes you get logged out and all it does is log you back in and continues to auto.

Now that we have all the code in the window the first thing we need to do is drag the crosshair to the runescape game like in this picture!

After you specified the runescape window it should say so in the status box.

the very next thing to do is grab your color picker and select the colors that the script asks for!

This is what this script says to do/the colors it needs. others might have you manually put in the colors but this one tell you to hit 9 spaces on the status window and and select the rock color the bank $ color and the ocean color on the mini map and then the darkest park of the willow tree on the main screen! onces you select the color you want with the color picker ( ) it will pop out a code in numbers for the color this is the number you need for your script and its the number that the script is asking for.

After this AFIREINSIDE the person that made the script tried to help the noobs out by making a screen where you can enter the colors in instead of pasting them in different parts of the script!

You put those numbers in the correct boxes then it says to go to the status box again hit 9 spaces and then begin the script! click the runescape window and your done! you should now auto! you should always turn off all the chats and trades just so that you dont get a message while autoing!

now if you dont have the script and you got one off the internet just paste it in a new SCAR window first hit 'ctrl A' and select all the text then hit 'ctrl V' to paste it over the begin and end stuff! follow the script intrustions step by step and it should work, but 1 thing - if you mess up one of the intrustions like not have your camra angel all the way up and all the way left like this or something that the script asks the script will not work! and will just repeat a stupid movements like click run then walk.

For scripts go to http://www.rscheatnet.com and sign up for the forums - make good posts and be active and you will be able to hang with the big boys and get out of the newb forum. rscheatnet is the only safe place to get scripts! if you go to http://www.scriptdump.net the scripts can be old and get you banned so i wouldnt use any of them, but if you want to thats your ass not mine!

1. In my mining script what happens if someone takes my rock?

A. The script will notice and go to another rock.

2. Whats the deal with random events?

A. Well if you happen to run into a random event the script will run away. Some scripts use WAMMP and im not gonna explain how to use that but if your not a noob to rscheatnet.com you can go to the link here.
